Maintaining information security standards

August 2018 | By Esurv Staff

e.surv’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) “continues to be well-maintained and supported”, according to BSI – the UK’s industry standards body.

The affirmation was made in a recent BSI assessment report which benchmarked our ISMS against the requirements of the ISO27001:2013 – the international standard for information security.

It stated: “Significant improvements in the ISMS were witnessed during the course of the assessment – most notably in the areas of supplier management” and the “internal

communications and training plan for information security awareness”, adding the “latter represents best practice and is to the standard witnessed by the assessor at top four management consultancies.”

The assessment also acknowledged our comprehensive “cyber wellbeing” campaign launched at the beginning of the year which is designed to change behaviours, and equip our colleagues with the knowledge and techniques they need to protect themselves, their families and our business from harm.

Our approach has enabled us to support a culture that safeguards the thousands of customer records we handle every day. We’re proud to be accredited with the ISO27001 global standard for information security but even more proud of the colleagues who ensure we retain it.
