Our Risk & Governance team has been further boosted following the appointment of a Compliance Manager and five new Surveying Quality Managers (SQMs).

The Compliance Manager position is newly created, while the SQMs represent an addition to the existing complement of SQMs and Senior SQMs, helping to further enhance our technical services.

Enhancing compliance

Louise Stutchbury has filled the compliance post, reporting to Head of Risk & Audit, Shane Ross. She is working closely with the business to ensure we continue to comply with all legislative, regulatory and client contractual requirements.

Having served Leicestershire Police for 13 years, Louise has worked across Performance, Audit and Compliance, Telephone Research and Service Improvement. For the last five years of her service she was Continuous Improvement Manager, managing a team of continuous improvement practitioners, ensuring the force’s Business Blueprint 2020, and Police and Crime Plan, were fully implemented.

Louise brings a wealth of experience to her new role as a qualified Lean Practitioner, including training in Lean Sigma Green Belt, Systems Thinking Programme and Solution Focused Thinking. With strong communication skills, she is applying her understanding of complex legislative and regulatory requirements, continuous improvement and how to implement frameworks.

Improving our technical capacity

Helping to further strengthen our technical offering, the five new Surveying Quality Managers will provide support to our lender clients and valuation surveyors across technical issues such as new build valuation and construction methods, quality reporting and valuation accuracy.

The new recruits will join the Surveying Quality team, all of which are experienced qualified surveyors with detailed knowledge of the mortgage lending and valuation industry.

Our enhanced technical capacity includes a newly created and dedicated New Build function which has been expanded in response to our client needs around risk management and technical support.
