Our mortage company (Vida) ordered a valuation with e.surv I must admit after looking at reviews I was worried.
But they fitted our valuation in next day the surveyor arrived when he said he would was polite courteous and everything went brilliantly, valuation was exactly where we thought it was.
Thank you e.surv
I was so nervous for e-surv to come out to my home after reading all the negative reviews – we were kept up to date with what time e-surv would be coming out, the guy was bang on time – when he arrived he was extremely polite and made me feel at ease – when leaving he told me everything was fine and wished us luck for our new home – the survey came back absolutely fine! I understand there are a lot of bad reviews but for anyone worrying, please don’t it’s not all negative.
After reading all the reviews online about this company, I was concerned that they were the ones chosen by my lender (halifax) to value a property I intended on purchasing. Fortunately, my experience differs from the reviews online. The valuation was booked and confirmed by the lender for the week after my mortgage application began.
The agent visited the property as agreed and the lender received a valuation the same day. Luckily, this was for the same value as the offer that had been accepted. This meant that the lender could send our mortgage offer out promptly.
As we had not received any information from eserv directly, and being curious, I contacted the offices the monday after the valuation (the valuation was on a friday) and it was explained that the homebuyers report could take up to 7 working days to arrive due the detail. My report arrived via email the following Thursday which was within the advised timescale.
Very happy with the report and the overall service provided.
When I was informed by Halifax that they will be using e.surv for my mortgage application I decided to google them just to prepare for the visit and I landed on this page. I was so worried about my valuation and actually went back to my broker to see if I can go with another bank because from the reviews it was not worth the headache to proceed but it was too late as the application had already gone through subject to the valuation. The gentleman (Ian) that valued my house was very polite and professional. The property was valued at the asking price and I could not have imagined a better service. seeing that they do a mortgage valuation on average every 25 seconds (their website) it’s no wonder the small percentage of people that are undervalued will seem like a lot of complaints. My advice, don’t let the reviews put you off.
On time. Very thorough I used e.surv for my purchase and they also did the survey on the house I sold. Would definitely use them again and recommend them!!!
I can highly recommend e.surv. From beginning to end they have been so helpful. After I received the report, there was a couple of things that I wasn’t sure about and I found Shazna to be so helpful. Another time that my husband rang back to check something else and they then put him through to the surveyor direct and he also was so helpful. We have nothing but praise for them and if the occasion arose again when we needed a survey, we wouldn’t hesitate to appoint e.surv again. Recommended! Many thanks
I have never used a chartered surveyor before so can only comment on this experience. We are remortgaging and in a shared equity scheme. e.surv were quick to get someone out to us which was great. The gentleman that came was not the chattiest of people but that’s neither here nor there. He was in the house for about 15-20 mins. I felt comfortable and he did explain what he was doing. I then had my report within a few days and they priced the house to what we expected. Good value for money and efficient.
I had a terrible experience with a previous surveyor so I was dreading this survey but my goodness what a vastly different experience! Granted, they still insist on really inconvenient appointment times (honestly, I don’t understand why – if it MUST be done this week – surveyors won’t be more flexible?! Like, who can take more than half a day off work at short notice just to sit home and wait for a surveyor?!) but other than that, I can say that my surveyor was courteous and professional, and crucially, did not undervalue my property but valued it at market value.
I still think there should be massive reform in the surveying process, but if more surveyors were like the one I had, it wouldn’t be nearly as stressful and horrible an overall experience.
Easy to book with, friendly and professional staff, and a very quick turnaround. The surveyor called me from the property to check if there was anything in particular I was concerned about, and then the report followed the next day. Any a competitive price. Would definitely recommend.
